The Alpine Club, the world’s first mountaineering club, was founded in 1857.  For over 150 years, members have been at the leading edge of worldwide mountaineering development and exploration.

We are sad to announce the death on 30 September of David Baldock, a member for almost 50 years who contributed a great deal to the club.

Very sad that David has now left us following his wife Sue (also a member) who died several years ago. David did much for the Club's IT system in earlier times.
