The Alpine Club, the world’s first mountaineering club, was founded in 1857. For over 150 years, members have been at the leading edge of worldwide mountaineering development and exploration.

Becoming a Member
The Alpine Club and outdoor clothing brand Montane provide funding to support expeditions led by or including Alpine Club members through two funding streams: the Alpine Club Climbing Fund (ACCF) and the Montane Alpine Club Climbing Fund (MACCF).
