The Alpine Club, the world’s first mountaineering club, was founded in 1857.  For over 150 years, members have been at the leading edge of worldwide mountaineering development and exploration.

Between the 5th and 15th of March there was a Chamonix Winter Alpine meet, with 8 men and 2 women attending. The goal of the trip was for technical winter alpinism and to transfer skills and experience between members of the group. The event was thwarted by interesting weather and conditions but was a great success, and all attendees benefited from advice, encouragement, workshops and evening lectures. Other trips and expeditions are in the pipeline but not yet confirmed.
