The Alpine Club, the world’s first mountaineering club, was founded in 1857.  For over 150 years, members have been at the leading edge of worldwide mountaineering development and exploration.

The exhibition by AC associate Rowan Huntley opens Tuesday 8th November before the evening lecture at 7pm.

The fantastical rock formations and brilliant light of the eastern Dolomites will feature in an
exhibition of paintings at Charlotte Road this November.


‘Dolomites - Portrait of the Pale Mountains’ will portray the uniquely sculpted peaks and
chameleon-like colour transformations of this incredible landscape which have provided
much for Rowan to work with over the last year.


Including Sassolungo/Langkofel, Sella, Civetta, Pelmo, Tofana, Cristallo, Sorapis, Antaleo
and Tre Cime di Lavaredo/Drei Zinnen to name but a few, this is a collection of work to stir
memories and inspire adventures!


Exhibition opens Tuesday 8th November with a Private View at 5pm before the evening
lecture at 7pm.
