The Alpine Club, the world’s first mountaineering club, was founded in 1857. For over 150 years, members have been at the leading edge of worldwide mountaineering development and exploration.

Summer Fundraising for Nepal
Thanks to all Club members who participated in two events for Nepal during the summer.
Zermatt anniversary
On 14 July 1865 Edward Whymper reached the summit of the Matterhorn together with his ill-fated companions. 150 years later, the Matterhorn still dominates the life of the resort at its base - the Alpine Club was invited to participate in anniversary events in Zermatt
Meets: Scottish Winter Weekend 2015
The Alpine Club's Scottish Winter Meet was based in the Corran Ferry Bunkhouse and many classic climbs were achieved.
