Phil Wickens

Phil is a landscape, wildlife and adventure photographer, as well as an accomplished mountaineer, who has regularly visited both the Arctic and Antarctic regions. Earlier this year a group of six skiers traversed along the central and narrowest sections of the Antarctic Peninsula, the first and only people to do so on ski since Wally Herbert’s first traverse, using dog teams, in 1957. Phil will talk about this expedition, and about some of the other many ascents and ski descents he has made in Antarctica.
