The Alpine Club, the world’s first mountaineering club, was founded in 1857.  For over 150 years, members have been at the leading edge of worldwide mountaineering development and exploration.

With membership, experienced and aspiring alpinists benefit from a varied meets programme, regional lectures with notable guest speakers, reduced rates at many alpine huts, opportunity to apply for grants to support expeditions, significant discounts at many UK retailers, extensive networking contacts, access to the AC Library and maps - and more!

Saturday 23 August 2025

The 2025 Alpine Climbing Group (ACG) Summer meet will be based out of Camping Lo Scoiattolo in the Val Masino, this is on the Italian side of the Bregaglia/Bergell. We have arranged for a flat fee of €12 (excluding services).

The north ridge of the Biz Badile - Stefanos Nikologianis

The main attraction will undoubtably be the classic Cassin Route on the north face of Piz Badile, the rock climbs and big walls of the Mello valley as well as the many other alpine rock climbs.

The ACG is a section of the Alpine Club that aims to undertake exploratory expeditions or hard technical ascents. The meet is open to all Alpine Club members, and we would especially like to encourage members with aspirations to (and those who already) climb harder alpine routes.

If you are interested in joining this meet please complete this short form.
