The Alpine Club, the world’s first mountaineering club, was founded in 1857.  For over 150 years, members have been at the leading edge of worldwide mountaineering development and exploration.

Oliver Graves - Polar Pioneers 2025: First Recorded Ascents and Citizen Science in Antarctica

In January 2025, Oliver spent two weeks in Antarctica taking part in the Shackleton Polar Pioneers Expedition. The expedition saw the completion of multiple first recorded ascents along the Donald Ridge, the collection of samples for a microplastics survey and a livestreaming world first.

The talk will be held at the Alpine Club's premises at 55 Charlotte Road, London, EC2A 3QF from 7PM on 24 June 2025.
