The Alpine Club, the world’s first mountaineering club, was founded in 1857.  For over 150 years, members have been at the leading edge of worldwide mountaineering development and exploration.

With membership, experienced and aspiring alpinists benefit from a varied meets programme, regional lectures with notable guest speakers, reduced rates at many alpine huts, opportunity to apply for grants to support expeditions, significant discounts at many UK retailers, extensive networking contacts, access to the AC Library and maps - and more!

Lorraine McCall - Lorraine's Ups 'n' Doons
Tuesday 11 February 2025, 07:30pm - 09:30pm
Contact Timothy Elson
Tuesday 11 February 2025

Lorraine McCall will talk about her continuous, self-propelled round of the Grahams accomplished through the Spring and Summer of 2024.  There is no record of it being done before and she is certainly the first person to do separate rounds of the Munros and later the Corbetts and now the Grahams. She began the epic route around Scotland in the hills of Strathconon close to her home in Beauly, first working through the Grahams of the west coast, the Inner Hebrides and the Western Isles and then looping through Galloway and the Borders before returning north via Angus, the Cairngorms and the far northeast. Lorraine's final Graham was Stac Pollaidh.
