The Alpine Club, the world’s first mountaineering club, was founded in 1857. For over 150 years, members have been at the leading edge of worldwide mountaineering development and exploration.

Kasia Piatek shares details of her recent expedition to north-east India where she and a team of five other AC members made the first ascents of three 5000m peaks in extremely challenging weather conditions.

All are welcome to attend and the talk is free for AC members on production of your AC membership card and students on production of a valid NUS card. Non-members are asked to make a donation of £3 towards the cost of the lecture.
