The Alpine Club, the world’s first mountaineering club, was founded in 1857. For over 150 years, members have been at the leading edge of worldwide mountaineering development and exploration.

Saturday 11 June 2022This is an AC hosted meet in return for the numerous times the CAI Saluzzo have generously welcomed AC members in Italy. It will be a laid back week of hillwalking, scrambling, climbing and sight-seeing with 12 CAI members.
AC members are invited to join in for all or part of the week and help introduce our friends to the delights of the Lakes. At the moment there are no fixed plans for accommodation for AC members but camping and/ or use of George Starkey Hut is being explored.
