The Alpine Club, the world’s first mountaineering club, was founded in 1857.  For over 150 years, members have been at the leading edge of worldwide mountaineering development and exploration.

With membership, experienced and aspiring alpinists benefit from a varied meets programme, regional lectures with notable guest speakers, reduced rates at many alpine huts, opportunity to apply for grants to support expeditions, significant discounts at many UK retailers, extensive networking contacts, access to the AC Library and maps - and more!

This meet will join members of CAI Saluzzo on Monte Rosa, approaching from Gressoney la Trinité, and will hope to climb routes of F+ to D on peaks such as the Dufourspitze, Signalkuppe, Piramide Vincent, Corno Nero, Liskamm, Castor and Pollux.
There are 8-10 places available for AC full members, and you should arrive with some acclimatisation up to 4000m under your belt. Note the AC main meet is directly before this, and some parties will drive from one to the other.
More details to follow.

Malcolm and Adele have both spent time in Italy in 2019 firming up contact with our Italian friends. This promises to be a fantastic revival of the exchange between our clubs, with plans afoot to host a return meet in North Wales in 2021.
