The Alpine Club, the world’s first mountaineering club, was founded in 1857.  For over 150 years, members have been at the leading edge of worldwide mountaineering development and exploration.

With membership, experienced and aspiring alpinists benefit from a varied meets programme, regional lectures with notable guest speakers, reduced rates at many alpine huts, opportunity to apply for grants to support expeditions, significant discounts at many UK retailers, extensive networking contacts, access to the AC Library and maps - and more!

NEW MEMBERS MEET – PINNACLE CLUB HUT, NORTH WALES – 6TH – 8TH May 2016
From Friday 06 May 2016
To Sunday 08 May 2016
Contact Jonathan White
Friday 06 May 2016

Dates: From Friday 6th to Sunday 8th May 2016

Detail:

This annual meet is aimed primarily at new members of the club, and those who have been members for some time and either haven’t yet got involved, or who would like to get involved again after a time out of the loop. Previous years have seen people climbing, walking, scrambling, and even playing table tennis – it’s very much a personal choice. The meet is as much about getting to know some other club members, and some have found it a useful time to brush up on alpine techniques with potential partners before heading further afield in the summer.

The hut is just below Snowdon, giving easy access to all the high mountains. It sleeps 20, and we’ll hopefully arrange a communal meal for the Saturday night. Further details available on request.

Location:

Cost: £10 per night
