The Alpine Club, the world’s first mountaineering club, was founded in 1857.  For over 150 years, members have been at the leading edge of worldwide mountaineering development and exploration.

The first ascent of this peak of almost 7,000m in the Karakoram was one of the standout successes for British alpinists in 2015, and marked the end of an immense effort by Andy’s partner, photographer Jon Griffith, making his fourth attempt.
