First Aid for AC Meet Coordinators

Saturday 21 October 2023A two-day outdoor first aid course will be delivered to participants by Indie Lyndale of Bristol First Aid. This is the accredited 16-hour course suitable for outdoor instructors. This is subsidised by the AC for meet coordinators, as a perk for running meets, and crucially with a view to making meets safer, with the resulting increased first aid knowledge on hand.
Camping is arranged at Goblin Combe where the instruction will also take place. Facilities include exclusive access to the cottage (kitchen and living / meeting area), yurt, outdoor classroom and other outside spaces. Arrive from 4pm on Friday and leave whenever the course finishes on the Sunday.
Instruction will take place over Sat (starting at 9am) and Sunday, and we will have a meeting about the meets programme on the Sat eve.
There is access to a fully equipped kitchen (with double oven, hobs, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, freezer, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans etc), so you are welcome to use that to prepare meals. I suggest participants bring supplies with them.
A communal meal may be on offer on Saturday if Nick gets organised!
