The Alpine Club, the world’s first mountaineering club, was founded in 1857.  For over 150 years, members have been at the leading edge of worldwide mountaineering development and exploration.

Alpine Club New members' meet at the George Starkey Hut, Patterdale. 
The AC New members' meet offers the chance to join members new and old at the Alpine Club’s George Starkey Hut in Patterdale for a weekend of climbing / walking / running.
In the event of poor weather or conditions, there will be a run around Ullswater along the Ullswater Way.
30 beds available.
Lift shares may be available from London or Penrith (or elsewhere), for those who may wish to book cheap advance train travel.
