Joint Alpine Club and French Alpine Club Winter Meet
From Sunday 03 March 2019
To Sunday 10 March 2019
Sunday 03 March 2019

Following a series of successful joint meets with the Marseille Section of the French Alpine Club (the most recent being the Calanques this Spring), we are returning to Glen Coe for the home leg this winter, and hosting the French Alpine Club to enjoy the adventure of Scottish winter climbing.

The club has exclusive use of the Lagangarbh hut situated at the North end of Buachaille Etive Mor. This location offers access from the door to some of the best winter climbing in Scotland, and the potential for adventurous rock climbing on the Etive Slabs. And of course the headline draw is Ben Nevis, just up the road, which is frequently in ideal condition at that time of year.

The price for the week is £110, payable direct to the Alpine Club and this includes a mid week communal meal and a slide show by Simon Richardson on the topic of his recent book Chasing the Ephemeral.

A basic level of Scottish Winter Climbing is required, so it is best if you are comfortable on grade III ground.
