The Alpine Club, the world’s first mountaineering club, was founded in 1857.  For over 150 years, members have been at the leading edge of worldwide mountaineering development and exploration.

With membership, experienced and aspiring alpinists benefit from a varied meets programme, regional lectures with notable guest speakers, reduced rates at many alpine huts, opportunity to apply for grants to support expeditions, significant discounts at many UK retailers, extensive networking contacts, access to the AC Library and maps - and more!

CANCELLED AC Pembroke Weekend
From Friday 08 May 2020
To Sunday 10 May 2020
Contact Lindsay Griffin
Friday 08 May 2020

Due to the Corona virus situation this meet has been cancelled

Choose hot sunny weather; choose low spring tides in the middle of the day; choose beautiful red and purple sandstone slabs rising out of an azure sea; choose multi-pitch coarse-grain gabbro; choose wild scenery, coastal paths, cream teas, archaeology, and the smallest cathedral; choose Pembroke, or more specifically choose Porthclais Campsite, St David's Head, over the Bank Holiday weekend of 8th to 10th May.

The organisers will bring a big family tent to use as a communal eating and meeting area. Pembroke North offers a huge selection of quality climbs in all grades, and remember that it is a little less than one hour's drive to the car parks of St Govans and Stack Rocks above the more populated South Pembroke white stuff.
