The Alpine Club, the world’s first mountaineering club, was founded in 1857.  For over 150 years, members have been at the leading edge of worldwide mountaineering development and exploration.

John da Silva: The AC Open Expedition to the Cordillera Real, Bolivia - 2015

John was part of an eight member, 4-week Alpine Club expedition to the Bolivian Andes in June 2015. The team climbed nine summits in total, all over 5000m and two over 6000m.  The expedition included a unique visit to the Casiri region in the Cordillera Real where the team achieved two successful summits, possibly by new routes.
