The Alpine Club, the world’s first mountaineering club, was founded in 1857.  For over 150 years, members have been at the leading edge of worldwide mountaineering development and exploration.

Alpine Club Resources

The Alpine Club produces material throughout a number of different media. Most is available online but some special documents can only be accessed by authoriused personnel

The Alpine Club has many resources available for its members. A library with an unrivalled collection of over 30’000 books, an Archive with a wide-ranging collection of documents going back to the earliest days of mountaineering, a Photo Library with a historic and unique collection of photographs.

Members also recieve a free e-bulleting which is sent out monthly and contains up to the minute news and along with other information such as books sales and lectures
